Taylor’s work is much like her social life, multitasked. Her newer paintings layer scenes drawn from life as if to stitch the memories together, using vibrant colors and effervescent abstractions to join the images in whatever emotions they recall. She also pursues representational painting for the purity of its form; rendering landscapes, portraits, or vegetables from her gardening adventures. Overall, the nature of Taylor’s work supplements her constantly growing interests, and gives those interests, and her life, inherent purpose.
